** EXCELLENT 1980's PRESSING OF CLASSIC BEATLES "WHITE ALBUM" VINYL DOUBLE-LP, WITH NEAR MINT SLEEVE, NEAR MINT SET OF ALL FOUR PHOTOS, AND NEAR MINT POSTER. THIS PRESSING IS APPROX. 30 YEARS OLD, AND YOU WILL NOT FIND A MUCH BETTER COPY OF THIS EXAMPLE. EXCELLENT CONDITION. PLAYED ONLY A FEW TIMES **
** NEAR PERFECT SOUND QUALITY **
Excellent condition discs. A few very minor hairline marks where the records have been taken out of their sleeves over the years, a couple of original pressing imperfection marks, and a very minor surface scuff on Side 1 - otherwise these discs are near mint. Bright lustrous shiny vinyl on both discs. No spindle marks. Very clean labels on both sides. Original STEREO mixes of both sides. No skips, jumps, warps, sticking, deep scratches, or writing on labels.
Superb sound quality throughout, with hardly any surface noise at all on all four sides. Top audio quality. You will not find a much better sounding vinyl double-LP of "The White Album" than this one. Tested on a Thorens turntable.
Gatefold Sleeve in crisp Near Mint condition.
THIS ALBUM STILL HAS ITS ORIGINAL SHRINK WRAPPING LARGELY INTACT. THE OPENING EDGES OF THE SHRINK-WRAPPING HAVE BEEN SLIT TO ALLOW THE RECORDS TO BE TAKEN OUT, SO IT IS NOT STILL SEALED, BUT THE SHRINK WRAPPING IS STILL LARGELY INTACT - ALONG WITH THE (REMOVEABLE) ORIGINAL 1980's VIRGIN RECORD SHOP PRICE STICKER!
Unlaminated gatefold sleeve, with no flipbacks. "The BEATLES" in embossed text. No numbering. Side openings. "Printed and made in Great Britain by Garrod & Lofthouse International Ltd." No general wear. No creasing. No seam splits. No wear to opening edges. No writing anywhere. Spine in superb condition with all text still clearly legible.
All four glossy Photos are original, and in crisp Near Mint condition. Never used - always stored in record sleeve. No rips, tears, creasing or writing anywhere.
Original Poster in crisp Near Mint condition. Never used - always stored in record sleeve. No wear. No creasing, (apart from original factory folding to get it into the sleeve), No rips or tears. No writing anywhere.
Both inner sleeves are the original EMI white sleeves. Both are in Near Mint condition, with no writing anywhere and no seam splits.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION -
Believed to be the eighth UK pressing. Unlaminated side opening sleeve. "An EMI Recording" text printed on two lines. Text on rim reaches all the way around the labels. Around the 5 'o' clock position, the wording is "UNAUTHORISED COPYING, HIRING, RENTING, PUBLIC PERFORMANCE AND BROADCASTING...."
GRADING:
All records are graded using the 'Record Collector' format:
MINT (M): The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
