Description
THE BEATLES – WHITE ALBUM, 3rd PRESS, STEREO.
1968 PCS 7067/7068 - APPLE RECORD LABEL.
A COMPLETE THIRD PRESSING, ‘SIDE LOADING’ STEREO COPY IN ORIGINAL CONDITION, FEATURING A UNIQUE SERIAL NUMBER OF ‘152886’ and a misprinted label.
There was a brief but interesting transition period from the last of the first issue top loading record sets to the new ‘side opening’ second and third Issues of this LP. This copy, a third issue includes some of the transitional features, including a unique serial number together with the publishing credits for the George Harrison an Ringo Starr songs under ‘Apple Publishing’. It is thought that these third pressings with this publishing credit were only available for a matter of weeks before they were changed to ‘Harrisongs’ and ‘Startling music’ !.
The record label on side Three has a misprint on it, on the Publishing credit for the song, ‘Yer Blues’ the word ‘Northern’ is misspelt as ‘Northerin’ !.
CONDITION:
MAIN SLEEVE: the full laminated double album gatefold sleeve is in excellent condition. It is almost to be expected that these sleeves over the years ‘yellow’ with age but this one is still really white. The edges of the side opening sleeve are all in excellent condition. On the front it has the wording ‘The Beatles’ embossed and a unique individual SERIAL Number of 152886, this number appears very clear and bold. The records are accessed from the side. The spine is excellent and is very white and clean and all the text is crystal clear. Its interesting to note that by the time of this pressing EMI had deleted the Mono catalogue number from its range, but on this copy it is STILL being referred to, ie ‘Mono PMC’ on the text of the spine. As this is a later, side opening sleeve, there are no visible flipbacks seen when the sleeve is opened, the sleeve is a brilliant white.
INNER SLEEVES: are both white and are in very good condition.
POSTER: the original poster is in excellent+ condition, it is really white and really clean, with NO wear or tears to the joins etc. There is NO Biro writing, cellotape, blue tack residue or pin hole damage.
PHOTOS: are the original Four photos and are in excellent condition, they are made of the original thick card. The rear the photos are really white and clean, there is NO Biro writing, cellotape, blue tack residue or pin hole damage.
VINYL: the two records are in excellent+ condition. The vinyl ‘looks’ as if it has only received ONE play !, The two records are of the original ‘thick and heavy’ vinyl and are very dark and shiny. The audio is excellent, I have just played this album all the way through on my ‘Dual’ turntable and it sounded amazing, a really strong powerful period Stereo sound. The records lay flat and play perfectly with NO skips or jumps. The matrix nos. are YEX 709-1, and YEX 710-1, YEX 711-1 and YEX 712-1. The Mother/Stampers are: ‘1 H O’, and ‘1 - G D L’ and ‘ 1 - G H R’ and ‘3 - G H O’.
THE LABELS: are in excellent+ condition, again the labels look as if they have only received ONE play !. The record label on side Three has a misprint on the Publishing credit for the song, ‘Yer Blues’, the word ‘Northern’ is misspelt as ‘Northerin’ !. The George and Ringo songs are listed as ‘Apple Publishing Ltd’.

Unfortunately as you will see from my feedback, I have received one neutral and one negative feedback recently. This is due to the fact that I followed Ebay policy and reported an Ebay member for non payment and in turn I have received these two pieces of feedback !, while this Ebay member carries on trading unaffected !, I am disgusted that Ebay has let this happen !

I am using the official grading system from Record Collector Magazine.
Grading System
The seven standard condition categories and a description of what each one means are listed below:
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
+ or – : indicates a grading in between categories.
