Description
Up for auction a copy of The Beatles, more commonly known as "The White" album. This is the top loading U.K. pressing numbered No 0381337. The cover has the typical yellowing and ring wear seen on most of these copies, but there are no seam splits and the corners are in fairly good shaped.
I played the album in its entirety and these are my impressions:
Side 1: minor crackling in the quiet sections and at the end before the runout but nothing that interferes with listening. No loud pops, skips or distortion. At minimum VG
Side 2: Starts out a little noisy on "Martha My Dear" and "I'm So Tired" but settles down after that and is quite enjoyable. Again no skips or loud pops were heard. VG
Side 3: No issues on this side. Mild crackling between tracks and in the quiet parts, most notable on "Mother Natures Son",and "Long, Long Long" but nothing too distracting: VG/VG+
Side 4 : Starts out a moderately noisy but quiets down by the beginning of Savoy Truffle. Like the other sides, no loud pops or skips. VG/VG-
Overall an enjoyable listen
The labels have several spindle marks and name written on all four sides
