Description

For auction a great example of 'The Beatles' AKA White Album. Condition is VG to VG+ overall.  Vinyl 1 is in VG- condition across both sides.  Vinyl 2 is in VG- condition, despite noticeable scratching.  Both records reveal minor surface crackle here and there but certainly no skips or jumps; nothing that distracts noticeably from the quality of this very early mono recording.  Labels are clean and crisp and show Apple Publishing (not Harrisongs), as was the norm on early first pressing.  Rare now to see all 4 original portrait posters of the band members with rice paper divider and the original song/lyric sheet and collage poster in such VG+ condition (see photos 10 & 11).   Sleeve too is in VG condition, laminate is bright and shiny and wholly intact (see photos 1 to 4).  Some creasing is evident in the lower right of front cover, but this detracts only very minimally from the overall visual integrity of the sleeve.  There is slight sleeve yellowing and minimal marking on front and back and less evident than on many copies of this vintage.  Inside cover is in VG+ condition.  Spine is intact and strong all text is visible.  Corners and edges are square with very minor scuffing.

Item specifics are:

Double mono album PMC 7067-8: XEX 709-1 (stamper code (sc) = 1 OA), XEX 710-1 (sc = 1(could be 7) OD), XEX 711-1 (sc =  1 RM), XEX712-1 (sc = 1 RA).

Top opening gatefold sleeve including embossed The Beatles and # 0031457 on front cover (see photo 2).

4 x original portrait posters in near excellent condition, including 1 x rice paper divider in VG condition.

1 x original large fold out poster/lyric sheet in VG+ condition no tears or handwritten notes etc.  Small area of slight yellowing (10cm square approx).  Creasing condusive with folding by manufacturer.

A fine collectable example of the upper end of early first press mono 'The Beatles' AKA White Album survivors.  Low start price and no reserve.  Good luck to all who bid.

I have a number of quality retro items on ebay at the moment please feel free to check them out, you won't be disappointed.

N.B. items are returnable, return postage will be paid by seller if items are damaged or clearly not those shown in the original ebay listing.
