THE BEATLES WHITE ALBUM, MONO 1ST PRESS LOW, LOW NUMBER **0009453**
This is once in a lifetime chance to purchase a 1968 100% genuine original UK mono, 1st issue of The Beatles White Album LP. It comes in its original laminated Garrod &Lofthouse top loading, numbered, gatefold sleeve, with original black inner bags and lyrics. The sleeve has the very low number of just ~ 0009453 ~ You'll be hard pushed to find a similar low number on Ebay.
The two vinyl LPs are on the traditional dark green apple label, which states ‘Sold in UK’ and is on the ‘Apple Records’ label PMC 7067and PMC 7068. **Omits an EMI Recording.** The two vinyl LPs come in their original black inner bags and are supported in the original top opening laminated Garrod & Lofthouse gatefold sleeve which has the amazingly low, low, number of ~0009453~. This number is also printed on the front of the sleeve thus making it a collector's item. Also included in this package is the original lyric poster - please note that the 4 thick card colour prints are missing!
The stamped matrixes in the grooves are as follows: Side 1: XEX 709-1, 3 o'clock MG, 9 o'clock 3. Side 2: XEX 710-1, 3 o'clock RD, 9 o'clock 26. Side 3: XEX 711-1, 3 o'clock R, 9 o'clock 1. Side 4: XEX 712-1. 3 o'clock R, 9 o'clock 2.
The laminated gatefold sleeve number of ~0009453~ is printed clearly and shows little signs of wear and tear. The spine laminate shows some medium cracking and lifting to the laminate – I've discovered that this is not unusual for laminate gatefold sleeves. The inside of the gatefold is in a very good condition considering its age, although the 37 year old glue has become unstuck on one of the edges - it can be glued very easily when and 'if' you have the time! The black inner bags are in a similar good condition although one of them has torn along the seam due to age - nothing serious though!
The lyrics are in a near good condition, although some sellotape marks around the edges where it had been put on the bedroom wall of a hysterical Beatles fan. The black vinyl records themselves are in a good clean and shiny condition - minute scratches are only visable if held under a strong bright light - and I mean strong! Remember, you'll be hard pushed to find another similar low, low number on Ebay!
