VERY LOW NUMBERED SLEEVE, NO “EMI RECORDING”, ON LABELS, EXCELLENT SOUNDING RECORDS. VERY RARE COPY OF THIS ICONIC EDITION

GENUINE ORIGINAL U.K. MONO ISSUE WITH TOP OPENING SLEEVE, INCLUDES PHOTOS, POSTER AND ORIGINAL BLACK INNER SLEEVES.

RECORD DETAILS

The records have been play tested and are all in EX sounding condition, you may hear the occasional crackling sounds but not much more.

Visually the records range from VG + to EX on all sides. Sleeve markings appear on side 2 and 4 and a very superficial in nature. Nothing close to a real scratch, if it were not for these, all sides would easily be in EX condition. All Labels are in VG + condition as seen in the photographs, some spindle marks can be seen under light.

SLEEVE DETAILS

The numbered sleeve 0029031 is the iconic top-loading version by Garrod and Lofthouse International Ltd. It is in EX condition. The embossed “BEATLES” and number are nice and clean. The sleeve retains a nice ivory colour. The spine area is in VG + condition with only beginnings of creasing and laminate peeling around the back spine area (see pictures). The entire wording on the spine is intact. Apart from the spine area, the laminate has remained intact on the cover. The inside panels and openings are nice and crisp.

The original black inner sleeves are in VG + condition.

The photos are in EX condition.

The poster is in EX condition.

I base my grading on the "RECORD COLLECTOR'S" grading system. The following text is from the "RECORD COLLECTOR" price guide:

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality.

The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.

Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality.

The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality,

despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, with out any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches.

The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
