THE BEATLES WHITE ALBUM, MONO ORIGINAL 1968 UK PRESS - PMC 7067-7068

GENUINE ORIGINAL U.K. MONO ISSUE WITH TOP OPENING SLEEVE, INCLUDES PHOTOS, POSTER AND ORIGINAL BLACK INNER SLEEVES.

“SOLD IN THE UK SUBJECT TO RESALE PRICE CONDITIONS, SEE PRICE LIST” WORDING IS FOUND ACROSS THE TOP PART OF THE LABELS.

SLEEVE DETAILS

The stunning numbered sleeve is the iconic top-loading version by Garrod and Lofthouse International Ltd. It is in EX condition. The embossed “BEATLES” and number are nice and clean. The sleeve retains its ivory colour. The laminate has remained intact except at the spine area, which is in VG + condition with slight creasing and laminate peeling (see pictures). The entire wording is intact. The inside panels and openings are nice and crisp.

RECORD DETAILS

The records have been play tested and are all in VG + sounding condition, you may hear the occasional crackling sounds but not much more. Visually the records are in VG + condition. A hairline scratch appears on side 2. Side 4 has a couple, all superficial in nature and don’t affect play. For this reason I would rate the last side as VG. Record 2 does not have "An EMI Recording" on the labels.

                XEX 709 – 1, XEX 710 – 1, XEX 711 – 1, and XEX 712 – 1

ACCESSORIES

The original black inner sleeves are in VG condition, there are some tears around the perimeter. The poster is in VG condition with signs of usage, but the photos are in EX condition.

--------------

I base my grading on the "RECORD COLLECTOR'S" grading system. The following text is from the "RECORD COLLECTOR" price guide:

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality.

The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.

Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality.

The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality,

despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, with out any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches.

The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
