WOW!!! For sale is a COMPLETE U.K. 1st Pressing in much rarer MONO (this was only released in Mono in small quantities in the U.K. and only in Stereo in the USA). This is an exquisite TOP COPY/Archive collector’s investment copy of The Beatles’ sprawling self-titled double LP commonly known as The White Album. This is an earliest first Pressing from November 1968 with NO EMI TEXT on any label. Only the earliest pressings had these labels as it was an error of omission and “An EMI Recording” was soon added. Even rarer is the absence of the KT tax code on either disc. This is one of the nicest copies I’ve ever seen and by far the nicest I have personally handled. It would be hard to top this one. Most copies were well loved and played to death but not this one. It appears to have been played a handful of times and tucked away in safe storage for 50 years. I’m leery of using NM as a grade so I’ve erred on the side of caution and am using EX or EX+ but NM- wouldn’t be a crazy overall grade for the entire package - complete with photos, original inners, discs and uncensored U.K. poster- all original with LOW mother / Stampers on disc 2!!

Sleeve: EX

BEAUTIFUL sleeve with a fairly low number of 0148468 in bold, unfaded print and beautifully embossed THE BEATLES title. Some slight inevitable age yellowing has occurred but is in remarkable shape. High glossy laminate shine...only the smallest amount of ringwear as to be expected...the odd browning spot and thumbnail laminate creases along the edge. Sharp corners and top opening edges. No unwanted writing or marks. This is the somewhat less common Widespine sleeve with fully legible beautiful spine...remarkably tiny amount of laminate crackling along spine when felt with fingertips...one of the nicest Mono sleeves I’ve ever seen and the nicest I have handled. No major issues whatsoever.

Discs: EX+ to NM-

Without a doubt, this is the nicest 1st Pressing discs I have ever seen. Most copies were played to death. Beautiful original glossy shine, only a few wispy sleeve removal traces and the odd superficial hairline. I have personally never played them but I would expect FANTASTIC audio by the look of the discs. They have obviously been played very sparingly and stored safely for 50 years.

Inner sleeves: EX to VG+

These very fragile original black inners are in remarkable condition. Some feathering/wear along the top and the odd crease but one is remarkably unsplit and the other only has juuust the tiniest amount of a split beginning on one side only. Beautiful.

All four photos are gorgeous...sharp corners...no creasing or unwanted writing...no evidence of hanging whatsoever...only an odd pinpoint sized dimple throughout all four that I didn’t see until very close inspection. Some horizontal printing lines are slightly visible when scrutinized closely but again I’m being very thorough. They are vivid and bright colored, sharp and original.

Poster: EX

Couldn’t get much better. No tears, writing or splits along the folds which is oh so common. No major creases or evidence of hanging. Obviously was not handled much and when it was, it was handled carefully.

Overall, this is a remarkable condition top copy earliest 1st pressing, widespine sleeve NO EMI text labeled example of my personal favorite Beatles album. It is in such nice condition when I got it that I immediately put the discs into MoFi inner sleeves, placed the entire record into a high quality Japanese Mylar outer sleeve, wrapped it in bubble wrap and put back into the mailing box for fear or damaging it. This one is for the vault.
