VERY RARE FIRST PRESSING, EMBOSSED NUMBER 0000154
THE COVER is top opening and in VG+/EX condition. There is no writing, stickers, cuts or crease on any of the four outers. The embossed title The BEATLES and the No.0000154 are very readable with no damage or fading.There is normal edge wear.
The spine has about 1" of wear near the top, but the rest is intact and the text is very readable - Stereo PCS 7067/8 Mono PMC 7067/8.
THE RECORDS are in very good condition, totally flat, spindles are excellent with very light marking only. They all play perfectly well with no skipping or serious noise. There are some surface marks and light scratches, but apart from some light crackle between a couple of tracks quality is excellent.
All Apple labels show Sold in UK subject to resale price conditions, see price lists and Mfd. in U.K. Labels also have the PMC7067/8 numbers, and 1968. There is no reference to EMI recording which I believe is another indicator to the rarity of this album.
The vinyl inners themselves have the following markings -
SIDE 1: XEX 709-1, 1 and P,
SIDE 2: XEX 710-1, 1 and 0
SIDE 3: XEX 711-1, 2 and TR
SIDE 4: XEX 712-1, 7 and GDR.
The Lyric Poster is complete, but most of the folds have come apart and are held together with old, yellowing sellotape. Apart from the folds there are no other tears and no other serious damage. The 4 photos are missing, as are the original black sleeves.
This album has been in my possession since 1968. I have tried to describe it fairly and accurately, but if you want any further information, I'll be happy to provide it.
