Considered to be one of most INFLUENTIAL and ICONIC Albums of the 20th Century, this is an ORIGINAL 1968 UK Apple ** FIRST ISSUE STEREO** TWO Vinyl LP Set for The Beatles WHITE Album, entitled ‘The BEATLES’.

This HIGHLY IMPRESSIVE Set is 100% COMPLETE, with TWO ORIGINAL UK FIRST ISSUE STEREO VINYL LPs, Four ORIGINAL Full Colour GLOSSY PHOTOGRAPHS – one of each Beatle (It even has its ORIGINAL Protective Photo Spacer), an ORIGINAL Large Format, Double Sided, Lyric POSTER printed by Garrod and Lofthouse, Two ORIGINAL MATT BLACK INNER BAGS. The set is housed within its ORIGINAL, First Issue, Fully Laminated TOP OPENING, NUMBERED GATEFOLD Sleeve, printed ‘Stereo’ to the top right hand corner of the reverse of the sleeve.

LP Description:

The TWO First Issue STEREO Vinyl LPs are on the traditional DARK GREEN Apple label, all bearing the ‘Sold in UK Subject to resale.…’, ‘An E.M.I. Recording’ and ‘Mfd. In UK’ label text to ALL four sides of the Two record labels. All four labels are printed ‘Stereo’.

Disc 1, Side 1 matrix YEX 709-1 & Side 2: YEX 710-1.
Disc 1, Side 1 stampers: 4/GDA & Side 2 stampers are: 3/LM.
Disc 2, Side 3 matrix: YEX 711-1 & Side 4: YEX 712-1.
Disc 2, Side 3 stampers: 1/GPP & Side 4 stampers: 1/RO .
There is an embossed ‘KT’ tax code to the centre of the Record 1, Side 1 record label.

The TWO 12" Vinyl LPs come in their ORIGINAL Matt Black Die Cut Inner Bags.

….And are housed in an ORIGINAL, FULLY LAMINATED Garrod and Lofthouse GATEFOLD Sleeve. This FIRST ISSUE Sleeve is TOP OPENING and NUMBERED 0542445, printed to the lower portion of the front of the sleeve. ‘The BEATLES’ is embossed a little way up above the number. The sleeve opens out to reveal black and white portraits of each of The Beatles together with the track listing. The top right hand corner of the reverse of the sleeve is printed ‘Stereo’.

There are Four ORIGINAL Full Colour GLOSSY PHOTOGRAPHS – one of each Beatle (It even has its ORIGINAL Protective Photo Spacer)

And an ORIGINAL Large Format, Double Sided, Lyric POSTER printed by Garrod and Lofthouse.

Play Quality:

Having carefully played both LPs, all FOUR sides play BEAUTIFULLY throughout all the tracks. There are NO skips or clicks – A SUPERB listening experience.

Condition:

Disc 1, Side 1 & 2 record labels labels are in VERY NICE excellent plus condition, CLEAN, UNDAMAGED, VIVID Black Print, showing only light spider trails to either side. Disc 2, Side 3 and 4 record labels are in SUPER near mint condition, with no more than a couple of light spider trails to either side.

Disc 1, Side 1 of the vinyl disc is in SUPERB near mint condition, nothing more than a couple of light wispy surface hairlines. Disc 1, Side 2 of the Vinyl disc is excellent plus, showing only a few more light, insignificant, surface marks than side 1. Disc 2, Sides 3 and Side 4 of the Vinyl Disc are in STRONG excellent plus condition, just a couple of light wispy surface hairlines. All four sides of the DEEP GLOSS SHINY Vinyl show that they have been well cared, and there are NO scuffs or deep scratches to any of the sides.

The Original Fully Laminated Gatefold sleeve is in STRONG excellent condition. This is a BRIGHT, FIRM, and GLOSSY sleeve throughout, with only mild record indentation. The back panel is STRONG and UNDAMAGED, with only mild record indentation. The inner gatefold is in FIRM, UNDAMAGED excellent plus condition. The spine edge is FINE, NO laminate flaking, and the printed wording ‘The Beatles, Stereo PCS 7067-8, Mono PMC 7067-8‘ clearly readable. There is a small wear mark to the top of the spine (nothing major). There is NO seam splitting to any of the edges, and only a very mild corner bruise to the bottom right hand corner .

The four Original GLOSSY colour Photographs are all in UNDAMAGED near mint condition. The Original Photo spacer shows some light creasing, but no tearing.

The Original factory folded Lyric Poster is in SUPERB near mint condition, not even a seam split to any of the folds!

The two Original Matt Black Die Cut Paper Inner Bags are RESPECTABLE. They have some unavoidable creasing. One has a couple of 2" seam splits, and a small tear to the top, but nothing serious.

In our Professional opinion interest will continue to RISE for ORIGINAL, COMPLETE and IMPRESSIVE examples of this ICONIC Beatles UK WHITE ALBUM, thereby increasing the longer term INVESTMENT POTENTIAL. EX+ to NM examples are becoming EVEN HARDER TO FIND now (they have never been easy). Many have been purchased by Serious Worldwide Beatles collectors, for Serious money, RARELY to appear on the open market again. Not to be missed, this is a VERY IMPRESSIVE all round Example.
