Considered to be one of most INFLUENTIAL and ICONIC Albums of the 20th Century, this is an ORIGINAL 1968 UK Apple ** FIRST ISSUE STEREO** TWO Vinyl LP Set for The Beatles WHITE Album, entitled ‘The BEATLES’.
This HIGHLY IMPRESSIVE Set is 100% COMPLETE, with TWO ORIGINAL UK FIRST ISSUE STEREO VINYL LPs, Four ORIGINAL Full Colour GLOSSY PHOTOGRAPHS – one of each Beatle, an ORIGINAL Large Format, Double Sided, Lyric POSTER printed by Garrod and Lofthouse, Two ORIGINAL MATT BLACK INNER BAGS. The set is housed within its ORIGINAL, First Issue, Fully Laminated TOP OPENING, NUMBERED GATEFOLD WIDE SPINE Sleeve, printed ‘Stereo’ to the top right hand corner of the reverse of the sleeve.
LP Description/Condition:
The TWO First Issue STEREO Vinyl LPs are on the traditional DARK GREEN Apple label, all bearing the ‘Sold in UK Subject to resale.…’, ‘An E.M.I. Recording’ and ‘Mfd. In UK’ label text to ALL four sides of the Two record labels. All four labels are printed ‘Stereo’.
All four record labels in STUNNING UNWORN NEAR MINT condition, LOVELY CLEAN, UNDAMAGED record labels, VIVID Black Print, showing only one or two light centre spider trails to each side.
Disc 1, Side 1 of the vinyl disc is in IMPRESSIVE NEAR MINT condition, nothing more than one or two light surface hairlines. Disc 1, Side 2 of the Vinyl disc is EXCELLENT PLUS condition , showing one long light surface hairline, which does not affect the play quality. Disc 2, Side 3 of the vinyl disc is in NEAR MINT condition, with no more than a couple of light surface hairlines. Side 4 of the Vinyl Disc is in NEAR MINT condition,again just a couple of light surface hairlines. There are NO scuffs or deep scratches to any of the 4 sides.
Disc 1, Side 1 matrix YEX 709-1 & Side 2: YEX 710-1.
Disc 1, Side 1 stampers: 4PH & Side 2 stampers are: 3MH.
Disc 2, Side 3 matrix: YEX 711-1 & Side 4: YEX 712-1.
Disc 2, Side 3 stampers: 4TR & Side 4 stampers: 5AMG .
The TWO 12" Vinyl LPs come in their ORIGINAL Matt Black Die Cut Inner Bags which are EXCELLENT PLUS condition. They do have a little mild creasing ,but unbelievably no seam splits or tearing to any of the die-cut centres.
….And are housed in an ORIGINAL, FULLY LAMINATED Garrod and Lofthouse **WIDER SPINE** GATEFOLD Sleeve. This FIRST ISSUE Sleeve is TOP OPENING and NUMBERED 0572899, printed to the lower portion of the front of the sleeve. ‘The BEATLES’ is embossed a little way up above the number. The sleeve opens out to reveal black and white portraits of each of The Beatles together with the track listing. The top right hand corner of the reverse of the sleeve is printed ‘Stereo’.
The Original Fully Laminated WIDER SPINE Gatefold sleeve is in STRONG EXCELLENT PLUS condition. This is a BRIGHT WHITE, FIRM, and GLOSSY sleeve throughout, with only mild record indentation. The back panel is FIRM and UNDAMAGED, with only mild record indentation. The inner gatefold is in UNDAMAGED NEAR MINT condition. The WIDER SPINE edge is undamaged with NO laminate flaking, and the printed wording ‘The Beatles, Stereo PCS 7067-8, Mono PMC 7067-8‘ clearly readable. There is NO seam splitting to any of the edges.
There are Four ORIGINAL Full Colour GLOSSY PHOTOGRAPHS – one of each Beatle- All four photos are all in UNDAMAGED NEAR MINT condition, NO pin holes to any of the corners.
And an ORIGINAL Large Format, Double Sided, Lyric POSTER printed by Garrod and Lofthouse which is in SUPERB EXCELLENT PLUS condition, not even a seam split to any of the folds!
Play Quality:
Having carefully played both LPs, all FOUR sides play EXTREMELY WELL throughout all the tracks with SUPERB CLARITY There are NO skips or clicks – A SUPERB STEREO listening experience.
In our Professional opinion, interest in ORIGINAL, COMPLETE examples of this ICONIC Beatles UK WHITE ALBUM release will continue to RISE, thereby increasing the longer term INVESTMENT POTENTIAL.
