CONDITION

OUTER SLEEVE – EX

Has slightly worn corners on both sides and the spine is legible. ‘The Beatles’ embossed title is prominent and clean with the No 250535 clear on the bottom right corner. Both sides of the cover have virtually no creases, only two or three on the front cover, there is slight ring wear (minor) evident on the front and back and is overall clean and free from writing, stains, rips or tears.

INNER SLEEVE – EX

Clean, crisp and free from writing, stains, rips or tears.

RECORD SLEEVES – VG+

Original Apple issue white issue sleeves with black ‘Important Notice’ print on all sides. Free from writing, stains, rips or tears but do have slight discoloration on all sides due to age.

RECORD(S) – EX

The records play through excellent on all sides with only minimal crackling between tracks; it has no skips or jumps and sits flat on the turntable. All sides visually under daylight carry no marks, hairlines, scratches or fingerprints. A very nice copy that has only been played a handful of times over the past 44 years.

LABELS – EX+

Lighter green Apple labels with ‘An EMI Recording’ and Mfd. in U.K. on all sides. Crisp, clean labels on all sides that are free of writing, stains, rips and residue.

POSTER – EX

Will have been displayed at some point and shows blu tack residue on the back side corners, although this is very minor and has been well looked after. The front cover and back lyric side are free of writing, stains and rips/tears.

PHOTOS – MINT-

The four photos show no signs of being displayed and have only the odd fingerprint evident. They are on thinner card and are not as dark as first pressings. All four are free of writing, stains, rips and residue.

The records will be very carefully packaged. The cover, inner sleeves, poster and photos kept in a self-residue 12” sleeve and the record(s) are kept in a 12” PVC sleeve to maintain the condition.

GRADING SYSTEM:  In order to assist everyone who buys and sells rare discs, Record Collector magazine has originated a set of standards for the condition of second-hand records, I have added a (+) or (-) to my grading’s where applicable.

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
