Description
OUTSTANDING ORIGINAL UK 1ST PRESS STEREO COPY OF THE BEATLES WHITE ALBUM (APPLE, 1968)
Original Garrod & Lofthouse gatefold sleeve "printed and made in Great Britain" is NEAR MINT - this is the TOP LOADING cover that came with early pressings only and is in remarkable shape - cover is lovely and shiny and white - no marks or indentations or writing or ringwear - all that prevents this being mint is a tiny dusty mark on the back sleeve near the bottom right hand corner and a small split in the laminate on the spine, but these are the only flaws I can see - the writing remains clearly legible, and the embossed title on the front is perfect also - the unique number printed on the sleeve is 0314471. Inside, the inner gatefold and flipbacks are perfect - even under bright light inner laminate has no marks whatsoever.
As you'd expect with such a well-preserved cover, both LPs are NEAR MINT also - no real marks or scuffs - vinyl shines like new -being very picky, you can see a few light hairlines but these are visible under bright light only. Matrix side 1 709-1 Stamper 1,LR. Side 2 710-1 Stampers 1,OO. Side 3 711-1 Stamper 2,GPA. Side 4 712-1 Stamper 2,GAD. Both LPs come in the original black inner sleeves in EXCELLENT condition also with no rips or writing.
The Apple LABELS are NEAR MINT also - just a couple of light spindle marks visible under bright light, but no wear to the spindle holes and no writing or sticker residue or finger prints or any other marks whatsoever. Being early pressings, they of course bear the "sold in the UK..." text.
Original POSTER is present and is in EXCELLENT condition - no splits or weakening of folds.
The 4 colour PHOTOS of John, Paul, George and Ringo are EXCELLENT as well - no marks or yellowing - clearly never been pinned to a wall. These come with the plain white SPACER SHEET that was used to separate each pack of prints in the EMI factory - which makes this pressing truly COMPLETE!
