Description
ARTIST: BEATLES
TITLE: BEATLES aka 'THE WHITE ALBUM'
LABEL: APPLE PMC 7067
A beautiful copy of The Beatles' 'White Album'. This is the rare MONO version with matrix numbers ending in 1. The number on the front cover is 0148083. The vinyl plays flawlesssly across all four sides and the visual grade is EX+++ with virtually no signs of play - only a handful of the lightest whispey marks in total across all 4 sides. Sides grade as EX-, EX+++, nMINT and EX+++. You will search a long time to find a better copy of this LP.
The labels as you can see in the photos are as new - no wear, no signs of play at all, no writing and no spindle wear. MINT.
The TOP OPENING gatefold is a also in great shape. Overall I would grade it as EX+. It is still pristine white in colour with none of the fading you often find with this cover. The test is that the outer sleeve is AS WHITE as the inner sleeve which has been protected from the light more.
The sleeve is flat with no creasing apart from a small laminate crease at the centre of the spine. The top opening edges are straight and sharp - it looks like LPs have not been out of the sleeve very much at all. Inside the gatefold is that same pristine white. The flipbacks are perfect and ALL the edges are straight, sharp and have NO wear at all. The corners are still sharp with no appreciable wear. The wide spine is still straight and unworn - the words 'The Beatles' and 'Stereo PCS 7067-8' and 'Mono PMC 7067-8' are as new. There is no loss of laminate any where on the cover and apart from the small spine crease I would grade this as near mint but in view of that defect I would reduce it slightly. But this is still as superb cover which matches the quality of the vinyl.
The four PHOTOS of John, George, Paul and Ringo and the poster have not been displayed and have no pin holes or tape marks. The photos EACH grade as MINT- and the poster as VG++ only because it has clearly been handled but has no tears or rips just signs of being folded and refolded.
The black Apple inners are present - one is EX++ the other VG.
