A WORD ABOUT MY RATING SYSTEM: I AM VERY CONSERVATIVE; I DO NOT USE "EXCELLENT" AS A RATING AS IT IS NOT RECOGNIZED BY "GOLDMINE" AS A VALID DESCRIPTION. MY "VG+" WOULD BE AN "EXCELLENT" OR EVEN "NM-" WITH MANY OTHER SELLERS. BID WITH CONFIDENCE; VIEW MY FEEDBACK; SATISFACTION GUARANTEED.
Up this week are 9 Classic Beatles bootleg albums that were included in a private collection I recently purchased. I have not played them, but each one I'm offering has been cleaned on my VPI record cleaner (16.5 model), and visually inspected. I rate NOTHING "Mint" unless it is sealed. I hesitate to rate "Near Mint" on any bootleg as the quality of the vinyl (let alone the fidelity) was rarely, if ever, the quality one would expect from a legitimate recording. Audiophiles need not apply!
Regardless of the range in quality of the material and manufacturing, they are an essential part of Rock 'N' Roll history; the first peek at unreleased gems that, in many cases, still haven't been released while in other cases appeared over 2 decades later on the "Anthology" albums (which arguably may have never been released had it not been for the long-running business of bootleg releases, and the demand for such recordings by hardcore fans)
Up for grabs here is "Watching Rainbows" a collection of "Get Back" sessions material (see photo 2 for track listing). The cover suffers edge wear all around, though not split. The vinyl, however, is in great shape.
