Up for sale is a super clean and gorgeous condition “time machine” gem from my personally purchased collection. It is my own original 1968 first Los Angeles pressing of The Beatles / White Album SWBO 101.The stamped number is: 0079330, with the words The Beatles embossed. Purchased very soon after it's original release, this copy has been well cared for and carefully handled over the years. It includes the original poster and the 4 portraits. (The John portrait is original; the Paul, George and Ringo ones are later reissue replacements.)

GENERAL INFO: I can't imagine there could be very many nicer copies of this out there. I have inspected the discs under a strong light and the records are super shiny and clean. Sides 1, 2 and 3 are Near Mint. Side 4 has two very light and tiny scratches at surface level, otherwise as glossy and beautiful as the other 3 sides. The labels are pretty much perfect, with no spindle marks at all. The small Capitol logos appears in the cut apple side label edges. (The records have a small bit of dust. I will leave it to the new owner to do any further cleaning of the records.)

The record jacket has beautiful gloss and has only the slightest ring wear, primarily at the top of the back cover. The jacket edges and corners are tight with no splitting. There is a faint and barely noticeable bit of evidence at the bottom edge of the front cover that this was for a time stored in a wire record rack. If you look hard enough the shape of the metal spacer from the rack shows as slightly lighter than the rest of the cover.

The poster has tiny single pin holes in the four corners but is otherwise extremely clean and wear free. It was displayed on a wall for a time, back when it was new, but it has mostly been stored in the jacket for many years. The original inner sleeves are excellent with only a ½ inch split at the bottom center of one of them. The paper tanning is minimal. The four portraits are in terrific shape.

In the 70s or 80s when the protective plastic album sleeves came around this was placed in one of those for further protection and has been stored in an LP case for many years, only sporadically played.

From a no smoking home. I will pack this securely, in a sturdy LP mailer encased in cardboard pads. The LPs will be placed in separate inner sleeves outside the record jacket, to prevent splitting of the jacket and original inner sleeves.
