CONDITION - RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING STANDARD (SEE BOTTOM OF LISTING)

SLEEVE: 

I grade as EXCELLENT / EXCELLENT (+) overall.

The fully laminated sleeve is very clean and white. The top opening edges are nice and square with just some very minor wear present. The corners are hardly damaged at all considering its age and the laminate is completely intact apart from a tiny bit of lifting on the spine. There are some tiny indentations and marks.

'The BEATLES' is crisply embossed leaning slightly upwards with the number 0023090 clearly printed leaning downwards below.

There is very little ring wear front or back.  The back of the sleeve is clean with just one tiny spot. 

SPINE: EXCELLENT; the spine is fully intact and the text is all clearly legible. 

PHOTO PRINTS: All in EXCELLENT(+) condition; bright & glossy.

POSTER: VERY GOOD / VERY GOOD(+) condition overall; there is some light creasing and handling marks One small 4cm split along one fold.

INNERS: EXCELLENT (-) condition; the 2 fragile original die-cut black sugar paper inners are in the best shape of any I've seen. Both are fully intact with just a little fraying to the top of one. Very nice. 

LABELS: Just one tiny nick to side 3, but otherwise EXCELLENT with just some minor spindle wear.

RECORDS - SOUND: 

Side 1: VERY GOOD / VERY GOOD(+); some light pops/clicks in 'Back In The USSR' & 'Dear Prudence', but after that it settles down.

Side 2: VERY GOOD; some crackle present.

Side 3: EXCELLENT (-) / VERY GOOD (+); sounds good overall though there was some crackle in 'Sexy Sadie' & 'Long Long Long'. 

Side 4: EXCELLENT / EXCELLENT (-) overall; some light pops and clicks on 'Revolution 9' and I did pick up some distortion on 'Goodnight'. I have had 3 copies of the White Album that distort on this track. I don't know how common this problem is, but I suspect pressing one side of vinyl with nearly 25 minutes of music on it can't be good for the sound!

In summary, the music has, in the main, a very bold mono sound but there is some light background noise typical of old mono records played on modern hi-tech stereo decks; it is present throughout play but is not particularly intrusive overall. 

The above is my honest interpretation of the records' sound. If you disagree upon receipt, please message me as all problems can be easily resolved.

RECORDS - VISUAL: 

Both discs are still relatively shiny but have their fair share of hairline, light & mild scratches + some superficial scuffing. Probably VERY GOOD / VERY GOOD(-) to look at. No deep scratches affecting play.

GRADING

All of my records have been play tested before listing using a new Rega P3-24 turntable. I describe honestly and accurately but please bear in mind that I am only human and such things are always subjective. I tend to grade records conservatively and believe that my feedback speaks for itself. I am a collector myself (please check my feedback as a buyer) and know how disappointing it is to receive an inaccurately described record.

I also grade visually using a strong halogen lamp.

I use the Record Collector grading system as shown below.

POSTAGE / SHIPPING

I post worldwide and pack all records in custom made (stiff) card mailers and add extra packaging inside to ensure a safe delivery. I will provide a protective polythene sleeve and the record and inner will be removed from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits in transit. I want your record to get to you in the condition that it was when it left me.

For any records that come with printed inner sleeves, I will also provide an additional plain inner.

RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING SYSTEM

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.

POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
