This is a RARE COMPLETE UK 1st press of the 'White Album' by The Beatles. This press has the top opening sleeve, dark green Apple labels, ''Sold In The UK' label text, 'Mfd In UK' on all labels, black inner sleeves, all four photographs and the lyric poster. The records have the earliest 1/1/1/1 matrix and the original wonderful heavy vinyl. It has the 1st press poster and postcards, not glossy light paper reissues. This press is also complete with the rare white spacer insert.
Record 1 is in Excellent condition and Record 2 is in Very Good+ condition. The vinyl on each side has a wonderful high gloss, there are a couple of light marks and a few wispy hairlines but the vinyl still looks superb. All sides have only been lightly played. Side 4 has a couple of more marks but it is still gleaming and bright. The sound is clear and vibrant, the backing is rich and complete and the voices are exceptionally sharp. There are a few moments of brief background noise, but this does not spoil the enjoyment of the record at any point. The dark green Apple labels are completely clean. The green is exceptionally bold, and the white is bright.
The records are complete with their original black inner sleeves in Excellent condition. These are in rare solid condition. There is one slight edge spilt otherwise the edges on both are very firm, the centres are complete with NO TEARS and there is just a little wear to the opening edges.
The 1st press four photographs are in Near Mint condition. The colours and edges are perfect and they all have their original just pressed sheen.
The 1st press matt double sided poster is in Excellent condition. The colours are bold and the white is still extremely bright. The folds are a little delicate with a couple of tiny holes, otherwise the edges are firm and it is solid and completely clean.
The rare white spacer is in Excellent condition. Completely clean and bright with just a little light creasing. It is solid and the edges are very firm.
The Garrod & Lofthouse top opening laminated sleeve is in Excellent+ condition. The laminate has an amazing high gloss and it is completely clean. The white has only the slightest discolouration, it is still exceptionally bright and the Beatles embossed text are sharp and entirely unworn. There is a little light ring wear. On opening the cover still has the wonderful firm laminate creak. The inside images and text are bright and clear, just like new. The flipbacks are sealed and complete. The spine has a little laminate lift but it is incredibly firm. The whole sleeve is pretty much like the day it was bought. There are a couple of signs of age but these are insignificant, it is in the most rare wonderful condition.
