THE BEATLES ~ White Album – Rare White Vinyl 2lp w/Inserts ~ HELTER SKELTER
1978/Canada/Capitol Records SEBX-11841….. here’s a scarce original White Vinyl pressing released in 1978. The correct SEBX-11841 gatefold cover is in solid VG++ condition, light ring wear/impression, a couple of small light stains top front cover, light corner bumps/wear, otherwise the gatefold cover is solid and clean with no splits or delete. Both records are in M- like condition. The labels are clean with no spindle marks. Includes the large folded poster and all four individual pictures. These are the correct inserts for this set and all inserts are stamped SEBX-1-1141. The large folded lyric picture poster is solid and clean with a couple of minor light creases, otherwise it's in M- condition. All four pictures are in at least excellent condition with the odd minor light crease/bend, otherwise solid and clean with no rips or other issues. Don't miss this great copy! As it was their first studio album in almost eighteen months (and coming after the blockbuster success of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band) expectations were high at the time of the release of The Beatles. The album debuted at number 1 in the UK on 1 December 1968 (becoming their third album to do so, after Help! and Revolver). It spent seven weeks at the top of the UK charts (including the entire competitive Christmas season), until it was replaced by The Seekers' Best of the Seekers on 25 January 1969, dropping to number 2. However, the album returned to the top spot the next week, spending an eighth and final week at number 1. It then spent another four weeks in the Top 10, and then dropped in the charts more quickly than Sgt. Pepper. The White Album was notable for blocking The Beatles' follow-up album, Yellow Submarine, which debuted (and peaked at) number 3 on 8 February 1969, the same week The White Album was dominating the second position on the charts. In all, The Beatles spent 24 weeks on the UK charts, far fewer than the more than 200 weeks for Sgt. Pepper.
In the United States, the album achieved huge commercial success. Capitol Records sold over 3.3 million copies of The White Album to stores within the first four days of the album's release. It debuted at number 11, jumped to number 2, and reached number 1 in its third week on 28 December 1968, spending a total of nine weeks at the top. In all, The Beatles spent 155 weeks on the Billboard 200. According to the Recording Industry Association of America, The Beatles is The Beatles' most-certified album at 19-times platinum and the tenth-best-selling album of all time in the United States.

GRADING
MINT: I consider only New Unplayed or Sealed items.
NM or M- or Mint Minus is the same to me, very clean with clean visual appearance and sound, there may be a couple of light inaudible hairline scuffs or such and will be mentioned in the listing, a Mint- record looks and plays clean. Same for the cover. Very clean with no delete or other issues.
EXCELLENT: still very collectable for most, visually and sonicly clean. A handful of light inaudible scuffs, or hairlines. Cover will be clean with little wear, or delete. No splits.
VG++ still a very nice copy with minimal wear, the vinyl will retain it's original gloss and can have a few minor scuffs/scratches that don't affect play very much. Cover will have slight shelf wear, and or delete, minor split.
VG+ the vinyl will still retain much original gloss with a bit more scuffs and/or scratches. If I list a rare or desirable item with a lower grade, I will try to list all defects.
