THE BEATLES, White Album, stickered mono / stereo original 1968 UK numbered sleeve LP.
PCS 7067 / 7068, 1968 UK first issue Apple record labels.
A 1968 UK first issue, top loading stereo sleeve with a unique serial number of, ‘0352784’.
1. the card sleeve features a very unusual original, possible 'export' stereo / mono sticker, that reads, 'STEREO also playable MONO with modern pick up', on the rear, top left of the card sleeve,
2. the card sleeve is made of quite a noticeable heavier, thicker card,
3. the card sleeve features an unusual 'thin' spine that measures just 5mm,
4. the two records have the original UK 'engraved' matrix of, 1/1/1/1,
5. first issue original 1968 UK record labels featuring :
a. original dark green Apple colours on labels one and three,
b. the text, ‘Sold in UK’, etc,
6. comes with its original two 1968 black inner sleeves.
CONDITION:
THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in very good condition, the double album ‘gate fold’ sleeve is fully laminated. On the front of the sleeve is an embossed ‘Beatles logo’ and a unique individual serial number of, ‘0352784’, this number appears clear and bold. The unusual 'thin' spine of just 5mm, is in very good++ condition and has remained clean, straight and all of the text on the spine is readable. As this is an original 1968 UK first issue stereo sleeve, the word ‘stereo’ is printed small on the rear panel, to the top right corner. The four opening edges of the ‘top loading’ sleeve have remained sharp. The original two ‘flip backs’, ie fold over edges can be seen when the sleeve is opened. There are NO tears, splits, pen writing on the sleeve.
THE INNER SLEEVES: the two original 1968 UK black ‘APPLE’ inner sleeves are complete but are in 'poor' condition. Each of the inner sleeves have tears, splits, creasing and fraying to the opening edges.
THE POSTER: the poster is missing.
THE PHOTOS: the photos are missing.
THE RECORDS: record one, side one is in very good++ condition, side two is in very good+ condition. Record two, side three is in very good++ condition and side four, has a long 'scuff' mark that runs over tracks two, three, four five and six, so I will grade side four as being in overall, 'good' condition. The two records are made of the original 1960s ‘thick / heavy’ vinyl. The records have remained dark and glossy.
The records 'engraved' matrix are: record one, side one, YEX 709 – 1, side two, YEX 710 – 1, record two, side three, YEX 711 - 1 and side four, YEX 712 – 1,
The records 'engraved', 'mother / stampers' are: record one, side one, ‘1 TH’, side two, ‘3 GRR’, record two, side one, ‘2 LP’ and side four, ‘6 MA’.
THE AUDIO: each side plays very good+, each side plays with some ‘crackle’ and 'ticks'. Each side plays with a full, powerful period 'stereo' sound. Each record lays flat on the turntable.
THE RECORD LABELS: record label one is in excellent++ condition, record label two is in very good++ condition, record label three is in excellent++ condition and record label four is in excellent+ condition. Each of the record labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

PACKING - ALL RECORDS ARE POSTED WITH MULTI LAYERED CARD STIFFENERS FOR PROTECTION. BEFORE POSTING, THE RECORD IS REMOVED FROM THE RECORDS ORIGINAL INNER AND OUTER SLEEVES, THE RECORD IS THEN PUT INTO A SECOND PAPER INNER SLEEVE TO MINIMISE ANY DAMAGE THAT MAY OCCUR WHILE IN TRANSIT. THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
DISCOUNT WILL BE GIVEN ON POSTAGE FOR MULTIPLE PURCHASES.
