A really nice copy of With the Beatles, fully play tested and cleaned with Disco Antistatic record cleaning machine.

(Boring bits first): Recording first published text; NO “sold subject..” text under Yellow PARLOPHONE; Parlophone CO. LTD text around label; MT tax stamp (January 1963) on side 1; EMTEX inner in perfect condition; Garrod and Lofthouse sleeve (PATENTS PENDING in brackets beside G&L on Back bottom right hand corner); “You Really GOTTA Hold Me” sleeve Misprint; First Sleeve design with Dark shadows obscuring faces.

Grading

Sleeve – VG +++ Front surface is bright and clean. Slight ring wear visible at very top of sleeve. There is very little scuffing or shelf wear to the edges. A very very small (1/2 cm) tear in the middle of aperture on front (see picture). The Laminate on spine has 2 horizontal cracks which do not affect the spine text. Spine remains true (see picture). Slight creasing of laminate along spine and bottom edge. Back of sleeve is absolutely fine, slight ringwear and staining of edges of the laminated flipback (See photos). These are not readily apparent.

Record –VG+/EX- – A number of small scuffs and light scratches, none of which are feelable. The record plays throughout as EX. Very few crackles, near mint during some tracks. A really pleasurable and fantastic listen. The record still retains its deep obsidian lustre. Labels are really great.

The above record grading is based on Record Collector magazine system:

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint. 
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. 
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
