This is the UK One Box EMI Press of 'With The Beatles' by The Beatles. This press is complete with the rare One Box EMI Parlophone label, the original inner sleeve and the rare 'patents pending' small stereo laminated flipback Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve. In 1969 Parlophone briefly changed the label to 'one box' EMI, the common 'two box' was introduced in the early 70s. As such these presses and the 'patents pending' new design sleeves are now very scarce.
The vinyl is in Very Good+ condition. It has a sensational high gloss with just a few of the very lightest hairlines and a couple of very light marks on Side 2. On playing the sound is superb, warm and clear. There are moments of noise but there is nothing that spoils the enjoyment of the album at any point. The Parlophone label is completely clean, the black is bold and the text is sharp. There is only light spindle wear. The record is complete with the original EMI advertising inner sleeve.
The Garrod & Lofthouse 'Patents Pending' flipback laminated sleeve is in Excellent condition. The white is extremely bright, the image is still sharp and the laminate has a stunning shine. There are a couple of small laminate creases. The corners are firm, the flipbacks are completely sealed and intact and the unlaminated back cover looks bright with only the slightest discolouration. The whole cover is solid and the pinched spine is very firm with clear text on a bright background.
