THE BEATLES YELLOW SUBMARINE
Parl 69 -1-1 UK Stereo 1st pr LP VG+
PCS7070
UK 1st press.
Stamper codes 1GM&3GM
Couple of slight issues ....
so please read the description.
Original front laminated flipback SLEEVE
has a couple of very small pinholes about an
inch from the edge right along the top edge
which is real shame. Rear is pretty clean with
slight wear to top left hand corner of flipback
but generally VG+ condition.
LABELS are VG+ to nr EX condition,
VINYL is generally very nr EX condition but
has a very nasty scuff made by a fingernail
covering half of Side 1,
although it really is hardly audible.
I have listened throughout twice &
it must be very shallow but its very noticeable.
Generally the album has excellent audio,
really great sound with minimal surface noise
even on Side 2 during the classical pieces
with a minimal amount of clicks &
very little surface noise.
A real shame about the scuff but it is what it is!
Has had a professional clean and has been housed
in a new Japanese anti static inner sleeve
inside the original inner sleeve
Item 740"
For accurate play grading (like all my records)
This record has been played on a Linn LP12 Sondek turntable
fitted with a Goldring stylus,
Listened to through full range SD Acoustics speakers
that have superb response and definition on all frequencies,
with a Quad Amp set-up.
For accurate visual grade (like all my records)
This record has been professionally cleaned using an
Okki Nokki cleaning machine.
First clean with purified water and isopropanol alcohol and
finished off with L'art du son / purified water mix.
The alcohol mix removes the release agent all records have
from the manufacturing stage, this hides detail in the sound.
The l’art du son mix seems to smooth out any brittleness
in the alcohol water mix.
