Description
Here is a chance to own an extremely rare 1st pressing of The Beatles' classic 'Yellow Submarine' album. Front-laminated red line flipback sleeve, dark green 1969 mono apple pressing.
Matrix codes are: [XEX 716 1] and [XEX 715 1]. Stamper codes are 'T' on both sides.
Release number is: PMC 7070
Outer sleeve is in excellent- condition, colour is still rich and vibrant with no fading, flip-back folds are still perfectly sealed. Some very slight creasing to the laminate in various places, but not particularly noticeable.
Original black inner sleeve was found after pictures were taken, but is also in excellent condition, with one tiny 1/2" tear. Otherwise flawless.
The vinyl itself is in excellent+ condition, still boasts a vibrant black sheen. A few very light surface marks can be seen under strong light, but nothing major enough to affect play. Has been test-played, through a very revealing system, demonstrating exceptional clarity and almost no surface noise whatsoever. Only very slight background noise can be heard between some tracks. This is by far the most exceptional quality copy of this album I have seen.
Item will be extremely well packaged in a plastic sleeve with bubble-wrap before posting.

Forgot to mention, there is a number '1' stamped on to each side, opposite the 'T' stamp on the exit grooves. Thanks.
On 20-Oct-10 at 23:58:11 BST, seller added the following information: ********************************************Another update - a friend has confirmed that the '1' on each side means this was pressed using a first mother stamper, which makes it even rarer! Not many of these about at all!
