Description

Hello and welcome to my auction for this fantastic Pathe Marconi pressing of The Beatles legendary album Abbey Road

This is the rare pressing i believe that was intended for the French market not the French contract pressing for uk market as it has the script

Les Industries Musicales Et Electriques Pathe Marconi -paris (see pictures)

This pressing also includes the quick fade in to the first track come together.

The vinyl:

The vinyl is nice and shiny and in good condition side one has a small scuff that you can feel this causes a couple of ticks most noticeable on the start of octopuses ???? Garden but plays through fine and the rest of the side plays with very little surface noise and sounds fantastic

Side two has a few light surface marks and again a blemish that you can feel but again this plays through fine with no problems just some light background noise and a few pops and ticks still sounds great ????

The sound is rich punchy fresh the boys sound fantastic.

The cover

The album cover is in fantastic condition with sharp corners and nice shiny laminate looks clean and tidy a few laminate bubbles to the front cover left hand side to the spine(see pictures) apart from this a very tidy looking solid cover that looks great

This album is quite a hard copy to get hold of I have never seen another copy like this out in the wild,

A few other French pressings on eBay but none with the PATHE MARCHONIE -paris credit to the sleeve so don’t miss out on this one

This album has been fully play tested and is free from skips and sticks

This album is free from distortion and any groove hiss

The labels are mat dark green Apple labels (see pictures)

The labels are clean crisp and fresh

All in all a great sounding rare French PATHE MARCHONIE pressing of the legendary BEATLES ABBEY ROAD don’t miss out on this one it sounds FAB
