THIS IS THE BEST SOUNDING COPY I HAVE EVER HEARD..MOSTLY PLAYS MINT!!
Cover
The original Garrod & lofthouse top opening low numbered cover is in VERY GOOD+/++ condition, with no tears, stickers or writing, the cover has yellowed with age..most noticeable on the front cover but there are no tears, stickers or writing. It has the limited edition number 0368393 which is clearly visible, there are some creases on the cover mainly around the edges and very tiny bumps to the corner tips. The spine has no splits but does suffer from wear and laminate loss.A very nice cover
Poster
The Garrod & lofthouse lipstick kiss poster is in EXCELLENT condition, never been hung on a wall and very clean just some tiny holes on the folds in the middle, not sure if this is a reproduction as it has a bot of the white border missing from the left side..see picture
Pictures
The 4 first press photos are in VERY GOOD condition, they all have old tape marks and john has 2 small tears in the corners
Original Inners
The 2 orig black inners have some tears and splits
Labels
The labels which have the "sold in uk " text are EXCELLENT.Sides 1/2 omit "an E.M.I RECORDING"!!
Records
The records have full gloss and shine with no groove wear and in normal light look excellent but when you look under very strong light you can see hairline marks..but no deep scratches,so they grade EXCELLENT-/VERY GOOD+/EXCELLENT-/VERY GOOD+++,The audio playback is SUPERB!!..it does not stick or jump anywhere and there is no sound distortion,as soon as you put this on the turntable and the first song "back in the ussr" starts you just know you are listening to a fantastic playing copy, side 1 plays really well..the above mention first track sounds mint, then we go into "dear prudence"..this plays well with just a hint of static crackle in places but not overly bad. From then on the rest of side 1 and all of side 2 plays on my deck virtually mint..i do not want to say "mint" as someone may hear a very light bit of noise which i missed..but even on the quieter tracks like "blackbird" and "rocky raccoon",these play superb with no problems whatsover. We then go onto the second disc which satarts with the fantastic "Birthday"..whatta! song..this along with the other tracks on side 3 play mint- to mint..even on "mother nature`s son"....now going onto side 4 which kicks off with "revolution"...this along with all the other tracks plays superb..no loud crackles..nothing!!..JUST VIRTUALLY MINT..TO MINT AUDIO PLAYBACK!!
