This is a rare mono, New Zealand manufactured version of the first Beatles LP Please Please Me made for the Australian market. Contract pressings were manufactured in New Zealand in small numbers for EMI Australia due to unexpected heavy demand for the album This one is considered amongst the rarest versions ever available in this country.(In the 10/10 rarest category in Jaesen Jones’ book) The label clearly states the origin of the record below the Parlophone label (see scan). The sleeve is the standard Australian one. Condition wise, minor ringwear at front and a small stenciled name at top right on the back. Both sides play equally well with no problems. Very rare heavyweight giant.

RECORD: EX/EX- Labels: EX+ Cover EX
MINT: Brand new condition, no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. Cover, label, extras in perfect condition.
EXCELLENT: Slight signs of having been played, no lessening of sound quality. Cover, label, extras are good.
VERY GOOD: Played quite a few times, some deterioration in sound quality cover, label, extras. Moderate amount of wear and tear.
VERY GOOD-; Further deterioration in sound quality. Considerable wear and tear on cover and it’s contents
GOOD; Just playable. Considerable surface noise. It may even jump. Heavy scratches etc Cover has very serious problems eg defacing, staining missing pieces etc
