Description
The Beatles were a pop and rock group from Liverpool, England. They are one of the most commercially successful and critically acclaimed bands in the history of popular music. The band's principal members were John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr.
Please Please Me is the first album recorded by The Beatles, rush-released on 22 March 1963 in the United Kingdom to capitalise on the success of singles "Please Please Me" (#2) and "Love Me Do" (#17). Of the album's fourteen songs, eight were written by Lennon/McCartney, early evidence of what Rolling Stone Magazine later called "[their invention of] the self-contained rock band, writing their own hits and playing their own instruments." In 2003, the magazine ranked the album number 39 on its list of Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. It was ranked first among the Beatles' early albums, and sixth of all of the Beatles' albums, with Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, Revolver, Rubber Soul, The Beatles (The White Album) and Abbey Road ranked higher.
Rolling Stone also placed two songs from the album on its list of The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time: #139, "I Saw Her Standing There", and #184, "Please Please Me".
According to the All Music Guide, "Decades after its release, the album still sounds fresh," the covers are "impressive" and the originals "astonishing." ( Wikipedia )

This then is the excellent 1963 Beatles Mono album entitled "Please Please Me " on the Parlophone record label No PCS 1202. This record is very carefully described as follows:
ALBUM is graded as in very good + condition with very light marks on the playing surface and some very light scratches only. ( Seen under very strong light ) . RUN OFFS XEX 421 - 1 N XEX 422 - 1 N LABELS are in excellent condition with no marks or stains, and no spindle marks seen. ( Black / Gold ) There is a raised letter T in the centre spindle area of Side 1 only. ( This is the Dick James Mus. Co. version ) COVER is in excellent condition with no marks or stains seen. It has a moderate amount of edge wear, but light to heavy corner scuffs. There are some very light creases to the front cover edges only. Rear cover is a little untidy. INNER it has a plain white paper inner. SPINE is in excellent + condition. PRINTED BY Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. I will be selling a large quantity of early 1960s and 1970s Rock and Pop over the next week or so. They include Rolling Stones, Cream, Beatles and many more excellent bands from the 60s and 70s. All are in excellent condition unless otherwise stated. ( I am very careful with my condition statements ).
