Description
TITLE/ARTIST: This rare and hard to find copy - in mono - of the self-entitled, gatefolded, double LP by The Beatles, is on the original Capitol Records Label (TBO-2222), from 1964 - see pics above. The double LP is entitled "The Beatles' Story", and highlights the group's rise to fame and fortune in both verse and song - see the pics above for a better description. This gatefolded jacket, double LP album is very hard to find anymore, especially in mono and in this kind of overall good condition - and it even comes with the two original Capitol Records company sleeves, advertising other Capitol artists' albums from the time! I will be listing other old, rare, and hard to find 45's, EP's, and LP's in addition to this one in my future auctions, so please check my site out when you can - as there are hundreds to get to yet. LABEL INFO: All four labels - TBO-2222 - are all in very nice condition with no flaws whatsoever - maybe just a couple of small and super light "surface lines" but otherwise, they are nearly perfect. I don't even see any spindle lines around the center circle, which certainly indicates very light play - if any at all... VINYL INFO: Just like the labels, the two individual vinyl record's are also nearly perfect - neither one appears to have been played very much - if at all. JACKET INFO: Finally, the gatefold jacket is also good, but not perfect by any means either - so please read on. There are clearly visible signs of some "aging" and light ring wear in places on both outsides of this jacket and some small scuff marks in the four corners, although overall, I would rate the effect of all this as being fairly minor. Meanwhile, the inside cover of this jacket is very good with no real issues at all - please see all the pictures posted above. INTERESTING FACTS: Yes, rare double LP is primarily clean and nice, not to mention how hard it is to find in mono, so please have at it. As always, I have not listed it with any reserve price - just free and open bidding - so good luck!. In addition, I will continue to list many other RnR/R&B LP's, EP's, and 45's by 1950-60's artists----and even some C&W LPs/45's, too. I am selling off my entire personal collection, and there are 1000's of more records to get to yet -- of all varieties. Many of these still to be listed records are rare and hard to find, and most all of them are in near mint shape. So, please bookmark my site and check it out from time to time. GOOD LUCK BIDDING!! If anyone ever needs more info than what is listed, please email me. I will respond! POSTAGE/HANDLING CHARGES: In the United States, the buyer agrees to pay $5.00 (Media Mail with Delivery Confirmation) for the first LP purchased, and then just $1.00 per LP after that-----so, buy in quantity and save. These are U.S. rates only, and all foreign winners will have to await an email me for their exact costs, although I will send a detailed invoice as soon as the auction is over---but, there too, it is cheaper to send multiple pieces. The charges for overseas are listed in the shipping category below - $25.00 for the 1st LP and then just $4.00 per LP after that. PLEASE NOTE: I will not be responsible for records that are lost or damaged by either US or overseas Postal Services. However, for additional fees, I will gladly ship the packages Priority Mail and/or add insurance! Please email me with either, or both, requests if this is of interest to you. Also, please continue to check out "rogersrecords" on ebay for future collectible records of all types. There are many more to come! browser does not support JavaScript.
