Up for auction is a rare copy of the psych-rock album "The Beethoven Soul" released on Dot Records in 1967. This is an original MONO, deep groove pressing. This album was recorded in mono, though released also in re-processed stereo. The mono version is far superior to the fake stereo versions from an audiophile point of view. If you're going to collect this record, be sure be get the mono version. This copy is in really nice condition. The front cover looks great, with bright and vibrant colors and only the smallest of hints of ring wear at the top. It looks almost new. Back cover is the same, super clean, with only a hint of ring wear in the upper left. Corners are sharp, though a couple have a very small amount of rubbing. Seams are tight with no seam splits, just some very minor rubbing in a couple places. Let's call it EX+. The vinyl is in beautiful shape. No obvious scratches or scuffs. No marks around the spindle holes. Labels are bright and unmarked. Very little signs of previous handling or play. Perhaps the faintest signs of taking the disc out of the paper inner sleeve. This record has been play tested, and it sounds great. No pops or crackling, really clean even in the quiet passages. I wouldn't be surprised if this record has been played only once or twice before. Call it NM-. Overall, a very well-preserved copy of this psych-rock gem.
