Description
Offering is original owner’s “THE BEST OF THE ANNIMALS”, Compilation, MGM U.S. Pressing (1966), Mono, E4324, 12” LP, 33-1/3 RPM, gatefold cover, shrink wrapping, black vinyl record.
SPECIFIC DESCRIPTIONS
· Album Cover / Gatefold Jacket – CONDITION: NEAR MINT (NM). The original shrink wrapping remains on the front cover and back cover, including 100% of the spine. Because the shrink wrap is still in place, there are no stains, age toning, markings or discoloration on either the front or back covers. There are no seam splits, tears or corner wear. Both front and back covers have retained their original, rich colors. There is a 1 ½” x ½” section of shrink wrap missing, located in the top right corner of the front cover (see photo no. 2). Being in original shrink wrapping, the gatefold has never been opened. Note - photos nos. 23-24 are included to show this album version’s gatefold inside two (2) covers.
· Vinyl – CONDITION: NEAR MINT (NM). Seldom played, with no wear, its vinyl playing surfaces are clean and very bright, “like new”. Both sides have retained their original gloss, with no scratches or feelable / non-feelable surface marks. The labels’ multi-color MGM logos with silver lettering & black background are EX with no spindle wear, scratches, stains or discoloration.
· Record Sleeve – CONDITION: EXCELLENT. This original, very collectible “® © Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Inc./Printed in U.S.A.” paper inner sleeve is pristine, having retained its B&W colors (photos & fonts), with no fading, yellowing or discoloration. There are no seam tears/rips, stains or folds with minor creases at three (3) corners. Each side has six (6) B&W, 3 ½” x 4 ½” photos of MGM Records’ artists to include Hank Williams, Hank Williams, Jr., Roy Orbison, Errol Garner, Connie Francis, Sam the Sham & the Pharaohs, David Rose, Herman’s Hermits, Lou Christie, 3 Soundtrack albums covers & a Sound of History-Documentary series.
