Description
This auction is for an extremely rare and original 12" vinyl Extended Player "CHAMPION VERSIONS" by "THE BETA BAND".
This E.P. record was released in 1997 as a very limited edition of just fifteen hundred (maybe even as few as a thousand?) copies and has never been pressed on vinyl since, it is on the Regal Records label with catalogue number REG16. This was the first of the fabled Three EPs and as such was the first Beta Band release and definitely their finest.
The tracks on the EP are all classics and are:
A1 - Dry The Rain
A2 - I Know
B1 - B+A
B2 - Dogs Got A Bone
I would describe this item as follows:
Cover: VG+ Condition.
A-Side: EX- Condition.
B-Side: EX+ Condition.
The A-Side of the record has two very faint marks caused by the inner sleeve (i.e. surface paper scuffs), the A Side is shown in one of the pictures and those virtually invisible surface marks do not affect the playing quality at all. The other side has no marks and is in the same playing condition as the A Side... i.e. great!
I have been very honest when listing this item and I am sure that you will not be disappointed with this very desirable and collectable piece. I have treasured this fantastic record and will be sad to see it go.
For those of you who have only ever heard any of the three EPs on the Compact Disc released later your jaw will drop at the sound quality of this heavyweight vinyl pressing. This is truly a must-have for any Beta Band fan, whether you are just a collector but especially if you love the music!
The actual EP is shown in my pictures showing the fantastic condition of it (that is camera flash reflection in the main picture!). Be assured that I will package this rare record very, very well.
