Up for auction is The Big Bopper "Chantilly Lace" LP.  Mercury Records MG 20402.  (1959).  Mono.  There are twelve songs on the album.  The songs included are:

The album cover is VG+.   It does not have shrink wrap.  The cover has retained its glossy finish, although there is some staining.  The back cover shows very light discoloration and staining/soiling.  Both sides have light scuffing.  The seams, corners and opening show light wear.  There are light creases along the spine seam.  On the back side in the upper opening corner there is the residue from a price ticket that was torn off.  In the upper spine corner on the back side is stamped the letter C with a circle around it.

The record is VG.  It plays all the way through with no skips.  The labels show very light wear, but have no writing or stickers.  There are spindle marks on the labels. 

My rating chart for records is similar to that of Goldmine grading.

NM (Near Mint) A nearly perfect record. No marks, sometimes never played.  A picture sleeve should have no more than the most minor defects, such as almost invisible ring wear or other signs of slight handling.   This is a grade I seldom, if ever, use.  Sleeves can be wrinkled and records scuffed right from the record store.

VG++ (Very Good++) Record will show some very light scratches or scuffs which shouldn't be audible when played. The picture sleeve will show some ring wear and possibly lightly turned up corners or slight seam splits.

VG+ (Very Good+) Record will show more scratches and scuffs than a VG++ rating. It will play with some audible noise from these marks. Labels may be marred or have stickers or residue from stickers. The same will be true of the picture sleeve.

VG (Very Good) Record will be well worn and audible noise will be more noticeable from scratches and scuffs.  Labels and picture sleeves will be marred or have stickers or residue from stickers. 

Shipping will be $4.60 (media mail) in the United States to be paid by the buyer.  This amount covers shipping, delivery confirmation, and new record box with cardboard inserts.  We do not charge anything for handling.  Insurance is optional and at buyer's expense.  International shipping (first class mail international) will be determined at auction end and will be paid by the buyer.  Although we would like to list international shipping, it varies from country to country.  Shipping can be combined on items within a seven day period.
