Description

THE BLUES--A SUMMIT:  MOBILE FIDELITY SOUND LAB MFSL-2-518 (Mfd in Japan for MFSL in California possibly in 1973) HALF SPEED MASTERED, Recorded LIVE at Newport in New York in 1973 -  This features live tracks:  BIG MAMA THORNTON (Little Red Rooster/Ball And Chain), JAY McSHANN (Smooth Sailing/Confessin' The Blues), EDDIE 'CLEANHEAD' VINSON (They Call Me Mr. Cleanhead/Hold It Right There/Back Door Blues/Kidney Stew),  ARTHUR 'BIG BOY' CRUDUP (That's Alright Mama), LLOYD BLENN (Honky Tonk Train/After Hours/Pine Tops  Boogie Woogie), MUDDY WATERS (LOng Distance Call/Where's My Woman Been/Got My Mojo Workin'), CLARENCE GATEMOUTH BROWN (The Drifter/Please Mr. Nixon), and B.B. KING (Outside Help).  The gatefold cover is in excellent condition, with only very light shelfwear;  there is a very fine, very neat, and precision straight light cut across the middle of the photo on the front;  I don't know how it got there, but it really isn't very noticible.   And there is a gold "Demonstration Copy" stamp on the front lower right hand  corner..  The vinyl records look new and play BRAND NEW, with KICK-ASS SOUND QUALITY!  You've never heard these guys live like this before.  You just put this record on, kick back, and you've got a live show right there in your living room.   USA shipping will be via Air Priority, but postage will depend on your zipcode and zone ($4.95-$5.75). I can take PAYPAL. No reserve. Good luck!
