Description
I bought this album new in 1977 taped it and have only played six or seven times since, most recently just before listing it. The vinyl on both sides is clean and shiny with only a few minor scuffs from being taken in and out of the cover. Both sides play loud and clear but there is some low level surface noise on the run in tracks and between the tracks, and this can be heard in some of the quieter passages, but overall plays loud and clear(VG). The cover is still rigid and the spine is intact and square and can be easily read in the rack. The front has a high gloss laminate but there is some ring wear noticeable if held at an angle to the light, and a couple of small nicks in the laminate and a small patch (1cmx2cm) just under the "D" in "Upward" there is a small bubble in the laminate where a price sticker once was. The back cover is not glossy and there are some small stains and some discolouration around the edges from years of storage

I saw Brian Brown perform in Melbourne on many occasions, most often at the Prospect Hill Hotel in Kew on Saturday afternoons in the early seventies. This group of musicians were at the forefront in Australian jazz at that time and this album is a great example of this.
