ITEM: The Bronx - Ouija Board
DESCRIPTION: Basically this was a promo item for the second Bronx LP in 2006. Swami Records, Merch Lackey and The Bronx were giving two or three of these away as part of a radio competition. They made a couple of extras and sold them to the public. From memory, there were less than five for sale. They probably only made 10 of them in total.
Here is what The Bronx said about them at the time: "These Ouija Boards were hand made by The Bronx and Merch Lackeyfor radio contest prizes. We cut and sanded the wood, screened the images, sealed them and summoned the spirits for each one. There may be little blemishes and or imperfections. There are a couple left and we wanted to get em to those who might like em. All sales are final! Get em while they last."
I bought this one from the Merch Lackey website in 2006. I got it signed by the band in Canberra, Australia on their third Australian tour. It is signed by all of the original line up (Matt, Joby, James and Jorma) and Ken who had just joined the band at the time. However, Joby wasn't really signing things at that time and stamped it with a personalised stamp (see the picture).
This has basically sat in a box at my parents place for years and it is time to sell it to someone who will appreciate it a lot more. However, I am in two minds as to whether I should sell this or not and that is why I have put a ridiculously high starting price on this. If it doesn't sell, I'm happy to keep it. Also it wasn't cheap to begin with.
POSTAGE: This thing is pretty heavy, so postage is not going to be cheap. However, I'm not looking to rip anyone off and will refund the excess amount if it turns out I charged too much. In Australia postage will probably be around AU$25. Postage overseas will probably be at least AU$50. I'm really not sure.
PAYMENT: In Australia, bank deposit is best. Everywhere else, paypal is cool.
