Description
Here is the rare LP from The Bruces, called Hialeah Pink. It was released in 1995 on Sing! Eunuchs Records. This is esentially a solo project of Omaha, NE indie mainstay Alex McManus, primary member of Lambchop. According to his myspace page, he has also toured/recorded with: (*ahem*) Simon Joyner, Bright Eyes, Vic Chesnutt, Empire State, The Acorns, Frontier Trust, Azure Ray, Crooked Fingers, Summer Hymns, Charlie Louvin, Cursive, The Olivia Tremor Control, and Mayday. He has also engineered recordings by Simon Joyner, Conor Oberst, Ed Gray, Brian Poloncic, Tilly and the Wall, Bill Hoover, the Bruces (of course) and a collaboration between Calexico, Lambchop and Vic Chesnutt. So yeah, he gets around. The music is folky indie pop very much similar to bands like Bright Eyes, Tom Waits, Mountain Goats, and others. Definitely a good (and very tough to find) album. The cover is VG+ with minor corner and shelf wear. The vinyl is VG+ with only light paper scuffs.
