Absolutely beautiful copy of the original 1965 mono pressing of the Byrds’ debut LP, Mr. Tambourine Man, on Columbia CL-2372. Original 2-eye labels with “Guaranteed High Fidelity” at the bottom. Really great to hear it in mono… I’d say more than any of their other records the mono version of this one is quite strikingly more “punchy”, as they say, but also more “powerful” or “intense” or something that is hard to put in words. Really cool to hear it this way. And this copy is just gorgeous. The disc has a few very light superficial scuffs but they don’t afford the play in the least. The whole thing plays pretty much flawlessly and truly beautifully. The cover is similarly near pristine, with only the slightest signs of gentle use. This is truly a top, top original mono copy, very hard to beat.
