vinyl: VG/VG+ (Vinyl is shiny with little play wear. It does have a handful of surface scratches, but nothing really deep at all. Music plays through both sides strong and LOUD with minimal constant background noise and the occassional pop and click here and there, nothing really that bad or all too distracting. A fine playing copy of this VERY RARE private press LP! Labels look great too!)

cover: EX/VG++ (SIGNED COVER!!! Cover looks quite beautiful overall. No ring wear at all, just a very slight bit of shelf wear around the edges and a very small 1/4 inch split at the sleeve opening of top seam. Nothing at all visually distracting, actually it looks beautiful in most every way. Please see pics below)

This auction is for the EXTREMELY RARE private press self-titled LP by THE CARPENTER's UNION on TODAY RECORDING. A truly amazing xian Psych Folk LP.  It's exact date of release and actual number pressed is a bit blurry, but it's been documented as somewhere between 68' and 74' and less than 500 pressed. The record begins with a psychedelic gloom and doom musique concrete type prologue complete with sounds of war and fighting. The ultra groovy songs following go from psych-tinged folk very similar to the best bits of The Free Design to quite rockin' and moving sections, complete with some truly hip trumpet and organ...the whole thing is repeatedly accented with fantastic flute, harpsichord, drumming and chunks of some real groovy bass. Past copies of this ultra rare private press monster of an LP have sold for hundreds of dollars, this is not one that you really ever see come up for auction...and this copy is signed! I have set the openning bid on this fine signed copy at a very low 45 dollars with no reserve.
