Visually graded condition of disc: Near Mint minus to Near Mint (some paper scuffs and light marks from storage and the inner sleeve)

 I remember when my radio station received this advance copy, about a week to 10 days before the actual pre-release white label promos (with the cover art and different catalog number) were sent. What surprises me 40 years later, is that finding other copies of this is almost impossible. Our radio station was highly respected back in 1977 before Rock AOR FM stations became the norm and we had close relationships with the record labels. Therefore, we often got copies of things that not all other stations did.
Bottom line: I have found just 4 instances on the web after a detailed search of people who have a copy of this promo with this catalog number. 
Two bonafide Cars collectors have also told me over the last year they've seen 3, maybe 4. I wrote an old friend of mine who was an executive at Elektra during this period (now retired) and asked if he remembered these. He said he had never seen one, but he 'thinks' he recalls a special promo that was pressed for the 'Regional Reps' working for Elektra (WEA) back then, since the band was still fairly new and they wanted to make sure Reps were completely familiar with it before 'working' it to radio and retail.
If that's the case, then they couldn't have pressed more than 15 or so! And possibly less!

This version has short intros and outros to each side that apparently talk about the release date etc. Since I've never played this copy, I'm not exactly sure what's in those extra cuts, but one person who 'does' have this stated that.
Anyway you look at it - this is a very very rare promo.
It sure would make a great Christmas gift for that CARS fanatic...

MY GRADING SCALE
(very similar to the Goldmine standard)

NM (Near Mint): Record will show no serious scuffs or scratches in the playing area. May have minor scuffs on edges from decades of storage, or a small scuff, scratch or paper scuff on playing area.
It's near mint, not mint (which would be 'sealed' to me). There should be no audible distractions.
NM- (Near Mint minus/Mint minus): A scuff or two or light scratch or two on either or both sides that may be heard.
VG+: Scuffs & some minor scratches in the playing area. Some will most likely be heard.
VG: Many scuffs or scratches that will be heard but record should still play fine.
