Description

HARRY RESER was the leading banjo virtuoso of the whole music business of New York in the late '20s. He composed and impeccably performed many a terrific specialty on his instrument. Here's one of them, accompanied by his band "The Seven Little Polar Bears," A.K.A., the Cliquot Club Eskimos. They render Harry's "THE CAT AND THE DOG" to perfection.

The flip side is by THE DIXIE DAISIES, playing the latest Collegiate palpitation, "DOIN' THE RACCOON."

This original 1928 Cameo 8339 is in V++ verging on E condition.  Bottom-of-the-barrel shellac!

These records come from my private collection, which I have been accumulating since 1967, and now am downsizing!  My highest priority in these eBay auctions is to give you the best possible idea of a record’s true condition and aesthetic value.  I always post at least four clear images, showing the record fore and aft, a close-up of the label, and the whole disc, warts and all.  If my purple prose won’t cut it, the pictures will!  Shipping is done with expert care. Your record will brave Media Mail in a stout corregated box, between four sheets of cardboard and a couple of “packers.”  I hope you are amused by these descriptions, and by the quality of service being offered.

An Unsolicited Testimonial!: "Superbatone is one of the coolest people on eBay - seriously. An excellent source for music, knowledge, and whimsy, and an asset to the community who cares about music and its preservation. It goes without saying that he is an expert in all facets surrounding 78’s and their content."
