THE CHALLENGERS - GO SIDEWALK SURFING RARE ORIGINAL MONO TRIUMPH RECORDS TR 100  1964
THIS IS THE FIRST PRESSING ORIGINAL NOT THE LATER RE-RELEASE! FIRST PRESSING 1A /2A IN RUN OFF - THE ABSOLUTE RARE FIRST PRESS FROM THE ORIGINAL STAMPERS

THE RUN OFF

  •                                                                                                        RDP-LP-1A

 RDP-LP-2A
THE VINYL IS VERY SHINY AND SHARP WITH MINOR THIN HAIR LINES AND NO REAL FELT SCRATCHES - THIS IS AN ORIGINAL 1ST PRESS MADE OF THICK DEEP GROOVE VINYL UPON PLAYING, THE SOUND IS EXCELLENT MINUS - SUPERB DYNAMICS AMAZING DRUMS!- A LITTLE SURFACE NOISE HERE AND THERE AS THIS HAS BEEN PLAYED AND IS OVER 50 YEARS OLD!  SOME HEARD SURFACE NOISE BETWEEN TRACKS BUT NOTHING IN ANY WAY SERIOUS - THE TRUE MONO IS MAGNIFICENT AND THE WHOLE ALBUM PLAYS LOUD AND SOUNDS FANTASTIC AT HIGH VOLUME. VERY RECOMMENDED

THE ORIGINAL SLEEVE IS IN VG+ CONDITION WITH NORMAL AGE WEAR -  TOP 3" SPLIT  - HAS NAME WRITTEN ON FRONT - SHOWS RING WEAR - THERE IS SOME BUMPING TO CORNERS NO  RIPS OR TEARS ON HEAVY US CARDBOARD - NO PUNCH HOLES NO SLITS NO DAMAGE OTHER THAN NOTED - THE ORIGINAL STICK ON BACK WITH THE RICK GRIFFIN CARTOON IS IN LOVELY SHAPE  (SEE PHOTO)    THE SPINE HAS NORMAL EDGE AND CORNER BUMPING  THIS IS NOT A RE-RELEASE, NOT THE LATER SUNDAZED COPY, THIS IS THE ORIGINAL

LABELS ARE BRIGHT WITH NO DAMAGE NAME WRITING ON ONE SIDE NO LABELS AND ONLY SMALL SPINDLE WEAR

FINALLY ONE LAST WORD RE HAIRLINES, IT IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND ANY NON SEALED RECORD WITHOUT THEM, MANY HAD THEM FROM NEW. MOSTLY THEY ARE A RESULT OF STORAGE AND USE AND USUALLY HAVE LITTLE IMPACT ON THE SOUND QUALITY. THE SAME GOES FOR BACKGROUND NOISE, UNFORTUNATELY ALL RECORDS WILL HAVE SOME AND THIS VARIES AND REFLECTS THE PRESSING QUALITY.

Vinyl remains the best  music information storage medium today:  infinitely resolvable analogue. Vintage vinyl – from around 1956 to 1985  – has the best possible musical character available. Analogue end to end, recorded with valve microphones, on magnetic tape, mastered on an analogue lathe, nothing digital in the pathway, and played back through valve-based equipment, it easily outshines digital sources.

 RECOMMENDED!

FULLY GUARANTEED!

IMPORTANT NOTE: unless otherwise noted, ALL records are graded visually, and NOT play-graded.

Records are graded under bright lights or discrete sunlight - In the case of visibly possible harmful scratches, the record will be tested and sound quality noted. Many vintage (1955-70) records will play fine with visible damage due to superior vinyl and better pressings.

How I Grade Condition Of Discs

Mint

This means I have owned it from new or purchased from a distributors warehouse, basically it means absolutely new shape, never been played or out of its dust cover. In the case of LP's, a North American album will have to be factory sealed (anyone can reseal an album!) Take Note: European and Japaneses albums were never shrink wrapped!

Note: Being mint does not guarantee it's free of pops and clicks, many pressings especially from the US were made with very poor vinyl and in a hurry which means often there are imperfections in the pressing. As a former importer, we were often given back brand new albums due to clicks heard in the playback.

Mint Minus - No such thing, it's either mint or not.

Excellent - A disc is super clean, with no visible marks

Excellent Plus, means it's probably mint but can't be proven by me.

Excellent minus, is a disc that is excellent except it may have some markings that do not show up in the playing

VG - A disc that is STILL in good shape, WILL have some scuffs or scratches, not in excellent shape but well worth owning. VG + and ++,a disc that is that much better than VG.

VG minus, just a smidgen below VG
