Description
You are bidding on a rare, original, rock and roll-rockabilly, LP record album, from 1957, entitled, The 'Chirping' Crickets, (with Buddy Holly), on the Brunswick record label, #BL 54038. This is the rare, original LP with the jacket textured surface front cover. The classic black Brunswick labels with silver print are in very good condition. The vinyl is in poor plus condition with general light, and some moderate, scratching. However, both sides play through. The jacket is in fair condition with general surface, edge, and corner wear. There are four inch edge splits on the top and bottom from the right hand corners over. There is a three inch edge split on the left edge at the bottom and heavy fraying along the left edge so the letters of the title are obscured. There are a few spots of small damage along the left edge on the front and the back. The back cover has moderate to heavy soiling of the white background. With the above being said, the textured front cover with the photo of Buddy Holly and his band members is very nice with bright and vibrant colors. There is some light surface wear of the blue background on the front cover along the top and bottom edges. This is a 5-day, no reserve auction.
