Combat Rock is The Clash's best-selling album, released in 1982 on Epic. It delivered two of the band's biggest hits, "Rock the Casbah" and "Should I Stay or Should I Go," alongside the politically charged "Know Your Rights" and "Straight to Hell," blending punk, funk, and dub into the band's most commercially successful statement.

This is an original US first pressing on Epic, FE 37689, identifiable by the custom "Combat Rock" labels used only on the initial pressing run before Epic switched to its standard dark blue label design.

Matrix reads AL-37689-2A (Side A) and BL-37689-2E (Side B) — Second Lacquer cuts on both sides, indicating this was an early pressing within the original first pressing run.

Mastered at Masterdisk by Howie Weinberg (HW) who built his career at Masterdisk under mentor Bob Ludwig. He started in the mailroom and went on to master hundreds of albums including Nirvana's Nevermind and Beastie Boys' Licensed to Ill. He has earned multiple Grammy Awards over his career.

Custom red/orange "Combat Rock" labels on both sides, correct for this first pressing — distinct from the standard dark blue Epic label used on later pressings.
