This is a piece of recording and music history.  The seller is not fully aware of all the details but with a little research, you can discover the origins of NYC's FINE RECORDING INC.  It was a highly successful recording facility dating back to the mid 1950's.  The list of singers and bands who recorded there are incredible to read.  The biggest and the best rented the studio which was housed inside a NYC hotel at 118 West 57th Street.  A new hotel was erected there in the 80's when the building was torn down.  The seller assumes the Climatics rented the studio to record these two cuts.  By listening closely you can hear some of the known accoustic qualities of this studio, including its volume changes due to early versions of compression and limiting. 

The seller has the actual release of this record listed on its original label, RE-NO.  So it is interesting to see the "Flippin' Records" line at the top.  Perhaps the group was planning to release it on their own label name or it might be a demo created for just for Flippin' Records, which was an early R&B Soul label.    Little is known about this group but the Bass singer is absolutely the best!

The audio on this listing is the actual acetate version.  Photos are there for answers about the condition of the disc.  As you can see it is aged but still in decent condition.  A small bump is visible at the end of the audio but it does not impact tracking as it apparently is well inside the dead wax.

The seller is beginning the sale of a large collection of mostly DOO-WOP 45's acquired from the original owner, who grew up around Philly and New York.  The original owner did play these records so they are not being sold as much for their high quality as for their rarity.  The records were all cared for and are not dirty or excessively scratched.  Any that did not pass a visual inspection were eliminated.  On some of the labels you might see a handwritten name, which could probably be removed but that will be up to the new owners.  No stickers were seen.  Check our other listings as they will be posted over the next few days. 

Please rely on the photos for condition questions about the labels.  The buyer should assume that there will be some popping and scratching on many of these as they 50-60 years old.  Any highly notable imperfections, other than the usual ones mentioned above,  will be noted with each listing.

We describe condition and version to the best of our ability but the seller is not a records grading expert so please inquire in advance for additional details or concerns concerning quality or version of a particular record.  We do not listen or grade but we do offer as much visible information as possible. We always take multiple clear, close photos and invite questions about quality or version of an item in advance of bidding. 

Please await our invoice prior to payment.  This is particularly important with international purchases as the value of the final price effects the method of shipment.  See below.

Our refund policy is based on total buyer satisfaction so we only refund full payment upon return.  We do not offer post purchase partial refunds. 

INTERNATIONAL
International Records with values higher than $100 require USPS Priority shipping.  While this results in higher fees for our international buyers, there is no other way to track and guarantee delivery.  Recent negative experiences with Customs in multiple countries have required this policy change. 

A reminder we always comply with Ebay and Customs official policy and code the "value" slot of the Customs Form with the actual purchase price .   Also please note that the USPS 1st International shipping includes a Customs Tracking number.  Recently that number has not been posting on the website with records we have shipped overseas.  Upon contacting the local post office, they were able to confirm all of our shipments had been processed and mailed through their computers but the standard, and previously reliable Customs Tracking number (Usually an LC number) has been missing and inconsistent.  This is probably temporary but we did want our international customers to know that we will continue posting those numbers but do not be alarmed if they are not trackable.  In the rare instance of a missing record, USPS can provide status with a phone call placed to them.
