TITLE/ARTIST: This beautifully conditioned, ultra rare LP by one great and highly collectible early '50's group, The Clovers, is on the original Atlantic Label from 1957, and is self-entitled "The Clovers--the very 1st of just two meaningful albums done by this great, early RnB group. These original 50's-60's LPs are getting harder and harder to find, and well worth the look here---espiecally in this kind of super condition--and what a great cover shot there is of this highly collectible six man group (check the pics below). This particular LP features 14 of the group's greatest songs including their hits "Lovey Dovey", "Ting-A-Ling", and "Devil Or Angel" --- and everything is in very nice shape. The album is just one of many "oldies" RnR LPs/45's I intend to list in the coming weeks and months ahead -- all of which are from my personal collection and in very nice condition. The condition of this jacket and record are both extremely nice,espiecally for what this piece is and how old it is, but please view the pics below, read about the LP's condition, and judge everything for yourself. As mentioned above it is on the original, black with silver print, Atlantic Label, 8009, IN MONO (as you'd expect from back in '57), and again it is in near perfect condition! VINYL INFO: The LP is very shiny, clean, and nice -- very close to perfect--- with no really serious flaws to list---maybe just a few extremely light surface/paper lines in a couple of places on either side, but nothing serious, believe me. JACKET INFO: Finally, the jacket is also in very good condition with no serious flaws, but it isn't perfect either. There are some small scuff marks in all four corner areas and the vertical seam has 2"-3" seam split, but I wouldn't think any of this is all that serious. Overall, this jacket certainly reflects the great overall appearance of this entire piece. INTERESTING FACTS: You just don't see these ultra rare 50's-60's LPs out there so much anymore, and espiecally not in this kind of great condition, so please have at it--as well as others I have posted this week -- or will be soon posting. I will continue to list many other LP's, EP's, and 45's by 1950-60's artists, even some rare C&W as I am slowly selling off my personal collection, and there are many more records of all varieties to get to yet. Many of these still to be listed records are quite rare and hard to find, and just about all of them are in near mint shape. So, please bookmark my site and check it out from time to time.
