THE COMMODORES "1978 Platinum Tour" rare PROMO Double LP from 1978 (Motown PR-39). This was a rare PROMOTIONAL ONLY release. One of the LPs is PLATINUM/SHINY GRAY VINYL and the other one BLACK VINYL (both LPs play the same songs). Black Vinyl was provided for Airplay due to notorious lesser sound quality of typical color vinyl pressings (although this platinum vinyl sounds quite decent). This was released to promote their 1978 tour and has tour dates and discography on the back. Side one has the best tracks from the first 6 albums and side 2 has tracks from their then current double platinum selling LP "Natural High". Includes: Machine gun, Easy, Brick House, Three times a lady, etc. Highly collectable item. Sleeve has slight crease on right side corners otherwise EX. Platinum record is Near Mint, Black Record is EX.
