Vintage Civil Defense Survival Instruction Cold War 12" LP Record
The Complacent Americans Red Vinyl 33 RPM Mono NM-
LIFE! LIBERTY! SURVIVAL!
This record is a very bizarre piece of 50s Cold War history and a very rare civil defense item.
One side is a like a theatrical radio program that runs through the moment the atomic bomb hits and
his after thoughts about how he’s dead because he didn’t follow the advice of his local civil defense officers.
The theatrical side will actually scare the shit out of you, it’s really well done with lots of drama and scary sound effects.
It was meant to shock the listener and does a great job of it.
The other side is just the Los Angeles civil defense warden giving tips and instructions.
With Larry Blake, Robert Connelly, Jack F. Fuller
The record is not banded and has no titles listed on the labels,
the listed side titles are taken from the back cover.

SS (Still Sealed): Unopened records, still in the original shrink-wrap. In original manufactured condition unless noted differently.
M (Mint): The record and sleeve are in perfect condition. The record may have been played but will show no signs of deterioration. (I occasionally use this.)
NM (Near Mint): A very clean record. Near mint condition except for slight superficial scuffs. Sleeves with this rating may have small defects but will not have significant creases or splits.
EXCELLENT: BETWEEN VG+ AND NM MINUS
VG+ (Very Good Plus): A well-cared-for-record that is noticeably less then perfect, but defects are not visually or audibly distracting. Record surfaces may have slight scuffs or light scratches, but are still primarily clean. Sleeves may have some creases or minor ring wear, but will not be split. (A grade that will satisfy most collectors.)
VG (Very Good): A used, reasonable copy to play. Many of the defects found in a VG+ copy will be more pronounced in VG condition. Surface noise and sleeves may look worn, but the record is still a decent copy.
VG- (Very Good Minus): A well-worn record that is still playable. A record in this condition will have audible distractions and may have visible groove wear. Sleeves may have all manner of defects, but are still intact.
F (Fair): This grade is for beat-up records. We only sell records in this condition that are extremely rare and sought-after.
