Description
THE CORPORATION – “self-titled” (1968) Capitol-175 original rainbow label pressing with “Free” hole punch VG++/VG++ (cover/record)
One of my all time favorite psych albums, this is the lone major label issue by this great group from Wisconsin. After this one they released two privately pressed albums, but this is the one that everyone wants. It’s got some great fuzz tone guitar and great songs, and this is the one that features their masterpiece, a 19:27-minute, side-long cover of John Coltrane’s “India,” which is super deep and mystical Eastern-influenced jazz-psych brimming with amazing fuzzed out guitar.
Other tracks include “I Want to Get Out of My Grave,” “Ring That Bell,” “Smile,” “Highway,” and Drifting.” This is such a great album!
This is an original copy in very nice condition. The cover has a promo “FREE” punch in the top right corner and only very slight ring wear. The original rainbow label vinyl pressing vinyl is in beautiful shape. I grade this conservatively VG++/VG++ (cover/record).
Winner pays postage. Domestic U.S. shipping is $3.50 media rate or $8 for priority mail (insurance additional and quoted at cost). International first class shipping (7-10 day delivery) varies by postal zone. Please see the listing for specific costs.
I package all LPs securely in record mailers and remove the vinyl from the covers to prevent seam splits during mailing. I do not just stick your record in a priority mailer box from the post office or between two thin pieces of cardboard with no additional packaging materials like so many others!!!
I now accept Paypal for all transactions, in addition to other methods noted as follows. Domestic Bidders – personal checks are cool for payment but must clear (10 business days). Money orders get next day shipping. Overseas Bidders – we’ll work this out – I’m really flexible. I accept IMOs, bank checks drawn in U.S. dollars and sent to me from the bank’s U.S. branch (must have magnetic ink U.S. routing numbers printed along bottom), and other methods of payment we can discuss - just send me a message.
Thanks for looking, and good luck!
All the best from New Orleans,
Larry
