The death of "Daryl C" Calloway, the original D.J. and mainstay for legendary old school group The Crash Crew, marked the passing of an era of the kind of old school crew that was driven as much by its D.J. as by its M.C.'s. (i.e. Grandmaster Flash And The Furious Five). Daryl C's widely successful recordings with The Crash Crew are now available on the LP, "High-Powered Rapper's." Tuff City has excusively collected Crash Crew recordings from sources as far reaching as World to World, the legendary Harlem label of the 80's whose house producer was a teenaged Teddy Riley, to Sugar Hill recordings from where Tuff City has creamed the group's chart hits with such tracks as "Breaking Bells" and "We Are Known As M.C.'s".
